Change Your Life by Reading These 10 Amazing Books
I want you to change your life by reading these 10 amazing books! I have a question for you. When was the last time you read a book?
I’m not talking about e-books or a facebook posting. When did you actually crack open a book and actually take the time to read from start to end? Let’s get back in the habit of reading shall we? You can actually change your life by reading these 10 amazing books!
Stimulate your mind!
Did you know that scientific studies have shown that reading stimulates your mind. And in so doing, it slows down the progress of mental diseases, such as Alzheimers and memory loss as a result of aging. It also ‘exercises the brain’.
Think about it. Your brain is an organ and as such it operates very much like any other muscle in your body. Not only do you acquire knowledge but reading also allows you to increase your vocabulary. This is in turn encourages one to become more articulate and well-spoken.
Who needs a stress reducer!
Another well known benefit of reading is stress reduction. In fact spiritual texts such as the Bible, can lower blood pressure and increase your sense of well-being.

Did you know that actually by reading a great ‘page-turner’, you can become so focused and absorbed. If the book is well-written, you can get lost inside your imagination of being present in the script. How many of you have not gone to bed until you read the final chapter because ‘its that good’?!?
Reading self-help books have also been shown to help people who suffer from depression and low self-esteem issues. If you want to become a happier person (of course we do!), then go bury your head in one of these life-changing books. You won’t be disappointed, I promise!
Now without further ado, here are the books that can change your life.

1. 'The Power of Positive Thinking'
‘The Power of Positive Thinking’ by Norman Vincent Peale is one of my personal favorites. I first read it way back in my 20s after college. This book is both thought-provoking and truly life changing.
Norman Vincent Peale is the father of positive thinking and one of the most widely read inspirational writers today. He is known to motivate his readers to find the power from within and to make the best of your life.
2. 'Think & Grow Rich'
This one book is said to be responsible for the creation of more millionaires than any other book in the world. To date, ‘Think and Grow Rich‘ has sold over 60 million copies.
If you truly have the desire to improve your life and master the art of positive thinking, you can not read a better book! And if and when you have children, this would be a treasure as a gift of inspiration to them as well.
I’ll never forget one afternoon way back in 2007 while watching ‘Oprah’. She was interviewing the author, Rhonda Byrne about the New York Best Seller, ‘The Secret – Law of Attraction’.
According to Ms. Bryne, this secret law began at the beginning of time. She claimed that the ‘Law of Attraction’ forms our entire life experience. Basically, if you claim and visualize your dreams, they will come into fruition.
To me, the same philisophy is found right in the Bible with the passage, “Ask and you shall receive.” Nevertheless, I highly recommend this book. There are powerful thought-provoking quotes scattered throughout.
And if you are one that likes the motivation of creating a ‘vision board’, then this is the book for you.
Eckhart Tolle was a man beyond his time. Although the above quote is very popular, I have this one I remind myself frequently.
“Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the NOW the primary focus of your life.” If you learn to truly embrace this concept, it will make a notable difference in managing your life. If you want to change your life, this is a definite ‘must-read’ amazing book.
I have a deep connection with this book I must confess. You see, while visiting my brothers in San Diego one summer back in the 80s, I ran into this incredible author, Deepak Chopra at a La Jolla antique store. And you know what! He may have been a celebrity but he was a genuinely nice guy.
I’ll never forget when he shook my hand with both hands in a caring way and first asked my name. He said to me, “Beth, I hope you have the best day ever!” He was one of those people that radiated with a vibrance I never felt before. To this day, his comment, “have the best day ever” is my daily mantra.
His book, ‘The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success’ , could also easily be called ‘The Seven Spiritual Laws of Life.’ Truth be told, I have read this book over a dozen times. It is a quick read and makes you think twice about well-being, fulfilling relationships and living in harmony with natural law. This one book remains on my night table next to my bed permanently.
Dr. Richard Carlson, along with his beloved wife, Kristine, shared with us this incredible life-changing book. Just a simple message, but yet so powerful.
Once you understand the message behind this extrodinary book, you’ll never be the same again. Yes, one can achieve lasting joy that comes from being grateful, mindful and present in your everyday life.

Don’t let the title fool you. This book will change your life by its thought-provoking emotional appeal. This story is about a poor camel boy named Hafid, who achieves a life of incredible abundance.
Og Mandino is a wizard as an author. He will guide you in this book how to discover the ancient scrolls of wisdom. This is a tiny book and can easily be read in one sitting. Its well worth it and you will be totally delighted.
If you really want to get motivated, this is THE book you must not only read, but own in your private collection. Les Brown is the real deal. (And yes, he was formerly married to Gladys Knight.)
He was declared ‘educable mentally retarded‘ while in grade school. Despite his handicap, he learned how to reach his full potential with the encouragement of his mother and a powerful mentor. This mentor was a high school teacher.
‘Live Your Dreams’ shall be one of the most motivational and inspiring books you will ever read. And once you’ve finished reading this book, you will want to go visit his You Tube Channel to hear all of his powerful messages.
Les Brown has authored several books and all of them are worth reading. Enjoy!
I don’t know about you, but I have experienced many ‘setbacks’ in my life. Tim Storey, the author of this much needed book, puts everything in perspective.
He not only reassures us that all of us experience setbacks sooner or later in life. But he takes it a step further by compelling each of us that God does indeed have a plan for our life.
With this book, you will learn how to get through life’s toughest moments. You will also learn to dream again and find your courage to make your comeback even stronger!
I’m just going to state for the record right here and now… I apologize if you find this title offensive. I did and for a whole year I refused to read it just for that very reason. Don’t you make the same mistake!
Jen Sincero is the author of this rather ‘assertive’ book. But she has a powerful message. Her approach may be unconventional but make no mistake, her message is 100% authentic life-changing. I’m just sorry it took me so long to pick it up and read it.
This self-improvement book points out our bad behaviors. She makes you accountable to them but then shows you how to harness the power of making positive changes in creating your own success.
She reminds you that ‘you are a Bad___’ and full of greatness. She won’t let you have any excuses. Failure is not an option.
