How to Start Your Own Personal Self Love Journey
How to start your own personal self love journey.
Have you ever heard about self love? You know, the kind of love that only comes when you love yourself? The kind of love that gives you self-respect and self-confidence? The kind of love that you can only find by loving yourself?
Do you want to be successful in life? Do you want to feel the best you can possibly be and bring happiness and joy into your life?
Then you need to start loving yourself. In this blog, I am going to teach you how to start loving yourself, so you can live a happy, healthy and fulfilling life.
What is Self-Love?
What is Self Love?
Self-love is defined as an unconditional love for yourself.
Self love is a powerful and beautiful force, but it can be hard to master. If you’ve ever felt that you’re too selfish, or that you don’t deserve to be happy, then you’re not alone.
Self love is something we all need to practice and develop. It’s what makes us better people and it’s what brings success and joy to our lives.
Self love is not about being fake, or trying to impress others. It’s about being yourself, being honest and true to yourself, and respecting yourself and your emotions.
Per an earlier blog I wrote entitled, “100 Things to Love About Yourself,”, “Self-love is one of the most essential things you can do for yourself.
When you love yourself, you take care of yourself in a way that enhances your mind, body, and spirit. You become more upbeat and productive, and your goals are easier to achieve.”
Why is the Journey to Self Love So Important?
Why is self love important and what is self-actualization?
Self-love is an integral part of self-actualization. Self-actualization is the highest level of personal development and a major component of true self-love.
By accepting yourself, you can overcome any obstacles that stand in your way. You can succeed, no matter how much opposition you face.
Self-Actualization
Self-actualization is the process of becoming more than what you already are. You go through this process when you accept and love yourself.
Self-actualization means living your life fully and freely without limitations.
Finding Your Inner Power
Finding your inner power begins your self love journey. Most people do not understand the importance of self-love.
They tend to think of self-love as selfish and narcissistic.
But self-love is a beautiful thing. If you have self-love you can do anything in life. This is your ‘inner power.’
So what does that mean?
It means that you are capable of creating whatever it is that you want.
It also means that you can achieve success and reach any level you want.
You are able to do whatever you want and succeed.
Self-love is very important, and I am going to help you start your self love journey.
You can do it. Let’s begin.
What are the Steps to Start a Self Love Journey?
What are the steps to start my self-love journey?
By finding your authentic self, you’ll finally be free to live your life on your own terms. You shall be able to love and accept yourself. You’ll finally be at peace in your mind. Let’s take a look at the five initial steps to start your journey.
Step 1) Accept Yourself the Way You Are Now
The first step to start to truly love yourself is to accept yourself the way you are. This may sound silly, but you can’t love someone else if you can’t accept and love yourself first.
This may sound like a paradox, but it is really simple. If you can’t accept yourself, then you won’t be able to accept others.
You must accept yourself before you can love yourself. And please don’t apologize for being being your authentic self and realize the things you’re grateful for.
Step 2) Stop Caring About Other People’s Opinions
Stop caring what other people think. We should never compare ourselves to others.
There’s nothing wrong with caring somewhat about what other people think. After all, we’re human beings. However, the problem arises when our actions and choices are influenced by the opinions of others, or when we let others control us because we want to be accepted by them.
People often feel pressured by others, especially from their family, to conform to societal norms and expectations. They also feel pressure from external sources such as their bosses, colleagues, and friends.
Consequently, they feel ashamed of their true self, or they don’t express who they really are. They give up their true identity to fit into an identity that they believe is more socially acceptable.
The key point is that you should not care what other people think of you, and you certainly do not need to care what they think of your choices, personality, or opinions. Learn how to start having the life you’re entitled to… that is your birthright to have.
Step 3) Appreciate How Unique & Special You Really Are
There is no better feeling than knowing that you are unique and special, and that nobody else is the same as you.
In the blog entitled, “Loving the Life You Live,” by me, Beth Elkassih… I give you this…
“I want you to ponder this incredible true fact: As of 2022, you are one of 7.7 billion people on this planet! Let me repeat this… each one of us is ‘one in 7.7 billion people on this planet! In numerical terms, it is a staggering 7,700,000,000. Why is this so important?
You are a unique, creative, and talented individual. No one else is you. You are the only you in this world. We all have unique gifts, talents, and experiences to share with the world. You are truly amazing!”
People who do not realize how special they are, end up being unhappy and bitter. They come from a place of self-hate and low self-esteem. That’s why you should appreciate yourself, practice self-love and self-care and be thankful for all that you have.
It means embracing the best version of yourself to bring you joy.
Step 4) Surround Yourself Around Positive-Minded People
We are all human beings. We all have flaws, weaknesses, faults, fears, and doubts. We all make mistakes. However, what separates those who are successful from those who are not is that they choose to surround themselves with positive-minded people.
There are so many negative-minded people out there, and they can easily drain your energy. However, if you surround yourself with positive-minded people, you will be able to attract more positive people into your life.
Step 5) Begin Self-Care for Your Mind, Body & Spiritual Self
If you want to start loving yourself and feeling better than you have in a long time, then you need to begin self-care for your emotional, body and spiritual self. This includes taking care of your mental health fitness as well.
To begin self-care, you need to set yourself up for success. You need to develop a mindset that will help you to succeed. Self Care is so important, so by just taking time for yourself in this self love journey is key.
