Choose Faith Over Fear
Choose Faith Over Fear.
There are two types of people in the world: those who choose fear and those who choose faith. When you choose faith over fear, your life will become better.
Whenever you find yourself overwhelmed by life, you always have two choices. You can focus on your circumstances and find yourself paralyzed in fear or you can conscientiously choose faith to lead you through with confidence.
When someone says something bad about themselves, they usually come across as negative and weak. On the other hand, when you see someone who’s positive, happy and optimistic, he seems to exude confidence, which makes him seem more powerful.
However, we often ignore an interesting fact – most successful people were once failures. They had to overcome their fears and doubts before they became the success stories of today.
If you really want to be a great person in life, you need to learn how to choose faith over fear and start believing that everything will work out for you.
In this blog, ‘choose faith over fear,’ we will explore the differences between faith and fear. We shall look at why we should have faith over fear and how we can do so.
We shall discover how to seek peace in the face of overcoming the storms of life. Thought-provoking quotes about ‘faith over fear‘ will be presented to inspire us with final last words for reflection.
What’s the Difference Between Faith and Fear
What is Faith?
Per Wikipedia faith is: Faith, derived from Latin fides and Old French feid, is confidence or trust in a person, thing, or concept.
In the context of religion, one can define faith as “belief in God or in the doctrines or teachings of religion”.
When one thinks of success, there are also those who view faith, as the unwavering belief that with hard work, dedication and self-confidence, faith will win out in achieving their goals.
What is Fear?
Fear is an unpleasant emotion or thought that is triggered by a perceived threat. It is a basic survival mechanism that is hardwired into our brains.
When researching for this article, I came across this acronym authored by Evangelist Gloria Neal. It was indeed very thought-provoking and I definitely wanted to share it with you:
F.E.A.R. – FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL …
F.E.A.R. is when there’s no true threat of immediate physical danger, no threat of a loss of someone or something dear to us, actually nothing there at all. F.E.A.R. is an illusion. Something we fabricate in our own minds and pretend is real.
If you’re afraid of making a decision, you might be paralyzed by fear. There are two types of fear:
- Self-imposed fear: You don’t want to fail. Self-imposed fear is often based on irrational thoughts and can be overcome by learning to recognize and challenge your negative thinking patterns.
- Real fear: Something bad will happen. Real fear is based on a real threat and should be taken seriously.
Regardless of which fear you’re facing, it is important to do these 3 steps:
1. Acknowledge Your Fear – Recognize that you’re feeling afraid. Don’t try to ignore it or push it away.
2. Accept Your Fear – Accept that fear is a part of life and that it’s normal to feel afraid at times. Be courageous and face your fear by:
3. Overcome your Fear by Your Faith – Choose to have faith that things will work out, even when you can’t see how. Put your trust in God that he will be there right beside you.
Why Should We Choose Faith Over Fear
If you want to succeed in life, you need to develop a strong sense of self-confidence. When you feel confident, you are more likely to take action. And when you are taking action, you are more likely to achieve your goals.
But, sometimes you might be afraid of doing what you need to do. For example, you may not be willing to ask for help or you may be afraid to start a business.
This can hold you back from achieving your dreams. So, if you want to overcome this problem, you need to learn how to build confidence.
One way that you can boost your confidence is by practicing faith. A lot of people think that they don’t have enough faith. But, the truth is that everyone does have a certain amount of faith.
The difference is whether you use it to get ahead or let it hold you back. If you have faith, then you will be able to accomplish anything that you set out to do.
So, why should you choose faith over fear?
Because faith will give you the power to change the things that you are afraid of. If you are scared of asking for a raise at work, you can practice believing that you deserve it. This will help you gain more confidence.
How Can We Not Be Fearful
Fear is one of the most common things in life. In fact, fear is part of every human being’s existence. But how do you overcome this?
There are two ways to deal with fear. One way is faith. Faith is when you believe that something is going to happen, even if you don’t see it yet.
For example, you can say, “I trust God. I know he is always working for my good.” Or you could say, “God is in control. He knows what is best.”
The other way to deal with fear is by having courage. Courage is the ability to face your fears and do something anyway. So, instead of avoiding a situation, you can just go through with it.
You need to decide which approach you would like to take. If you choose to use faith over fear, then you will feel more confident about the future. On the contrary, if you choose to have courage, you will learn a lot from the experience.
Finding Peace in the Face of Storms in Life
In this world we live in, sometimes things happen which can be difficult to deal with. We may experience loss, disappointment or failure. Sometimes, it can seem like our lives are going downhill.
But, when we are faced with a storm, one thing is certain – God is always present. He never leaves us. Even if we don’t feel Him right now, he is still there for us. So, even though we might not see him, he is there.
In the Christian Bible it says that “God is faithful. He will not let you fall into temptation. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up again.” (1 Corinthians 10.13.)
This means that no matter what happens, God is always there to help. And, he does this by giving us faith. Faith allows us to believe in something that doesn’t exist yet.
So, when you are facing a storm in your life, remember that you have a friend who is always with you. No matter how bad the situation seems, you can trust that God will take care of you. You just need to keep believing. You need to embrace your faith.
How Do YOU Live by Faith?
How do you live your life? Is it through fear or faith? A lot of people think that they are living their lives through fear. But the truth is, most of us don’t really understand what it means to be truly alive.
We spend our days working hard, worrying about bills, and stressing out over things that we can’t control. We’re constantly trying to fix ourselves, but the problem is that we never stop thinking about how to make everything perfect. And when we try to do this, we end up making mistakes.
But, if you want to live your life by faith, you need to learn to let go of those thoughts. You have to start focusing on the positive instead of the negative.
Instead of worrying about what could happen, focus on what will happen. If you are worried about not having enough money for food, then you should focus on the fact that you have more than you know right now.
Instead of being afraid that something bad is going to happen, you should be excited that you have the opportunity to change it.
So, if you are always looking at the future and thinking about all of the things that could possibly go wrong, you’ll never actually get anywhere. You need to have strong faith in yourself.
