LEARN TO BE A PHOENIX
“In times of life struggles & difficulties, one must learn to be a Phoenix and rise up and be transformed into the person you were born to be.” – Beth Elkassih
Per Grammarist.com , to rise like a phoenix from the ashes means to emerge from a catastrophe stronger, smarter and more powerful. The phoenix bird is a mythical bird from Greek mythology and was a feathered creature of great size. The phoenix’s plumage was both radiant and beautiful, with talons and wings.
The story goes that the phoenix lived for 500 years before it built its own funeral pyre. As a result he/she burst into flame, and died, consumed in its own fiery inferno. Soon after, the mythical creature rose out of the ashes, in a transformation from death to life, or a rebirth.
Christianity adopted the depiction of the phoenix rising from the ashes as a symbol of rebirth and eternal life. So… in times of struggle as we are all facing now with the coronavirus, we can take this opportunity to reassess where our life is and then make the conscious decision to transform or renew our life and become stronger, smarter and better than ever before!
YOU’RE STRONGER THAN YOU REALIZE
“I’ve survived this before… I’m stronger than I realize… This feeling will pass.” – Beth Elkassih
We’ve all faced life struggles or difficulties through the course of our life. And although we are living through a historic event, coronavirus has forever changed our lives presenting new challenges and struggles we never imagined we would be faced with.
That being said, do KNOW you WILL be stronger than you ever realized and that feeling of hopelessness will pass.
OUR WORLD NEEDS A HEALING…
“Our world needs a healing… humanity needs a healing.” – Beth Elkassih
We all need healing. I have always despised the word, ‘race’. Why do we have to be categorized? We are all one race… we’re all simply humanity…
We all know that kindness is one of the best virtues of our ‘humanity’. Did you know that there are 4 different types of kindness? They are: self-kindness, social kindness, spontaneous kindness (aka random acts of kindness) and planned kindness, of which I like to refer as ‘intentional kindness’.
I would be amiss if I didn’t also point out another ‘sub-type’ of planned kindness or intentional kindness. This one can be the most difficult to even do for some of us. And that is – doing acts of kindness to those who are simply not nice people. But you know what, this is the kindness which has the most ‘magical powers’ of making a difference. And the more people who do this, the better our world shall become.

TEARS ARE GOD’S HEARTSHIELD WIPERS.
“Tears are God’s heartshield wipers. They clear the ‘pain’ from our Hearts so we can see the Path clearly!” – Beth Elkassih
No one is immune to this coronavirus. This insidious disease does not discriminate who it affects. And when it affects you personally, either by knowing of someone in your immediate family, a co-worker or a friend, it evokes internal pain.
But despite our ‘tears of pain’, through them we can take this ‘pain’ and replace it with ‘resolve’ in doing our part to help not only our family, co-workers and friends to recover but to realize we must do our part in the prevention of the spread of coronavirus. We must all practice social distancing and wearing our masks while in public.
By conscientiously doing this one task, we are not only protecting ourselves, but others in the prevention of this disease.
IT’S OKAY TO NOT BE OKAY…
“It’s okay to not be okay… and it’s okay to reach out for help.” – Beth Elkassih
The above quote is definitely one of my favorites for hope and reflection to get thru the coronavirus. Here’s the deal… there is absolutely nothing wrong with feeling ‘out of sorts’… It truly is okay to not be okay…
That being said it’s also okay to reach out to others for help as well. It could simply be reaching out to one of your best friends. But it also can be reaching out to get professional help as well. Remember, there is no shame in getting this type of help.

STOP DOUBTING YOUR GREATNESS
“Stop doubting your greatness and start living the life you were born to live!” – Beth Elkassih
I know, I know… when you think about getting thru coronavirus, this may be the furthest from your mind. But allow me to place it front and foremost. Yes, you were born to endure this challenging time period of humanity. But did you know that EVERYONE on this planet is born with greatness?
Listen to me… there’s a reason why you were uniquely born on the date and time and even the location of your birth! There’s a reason why you’re alive today in August 2020! And yes, there’s a reason why you’re here among all of us who are also here, enduring this challenging pandemic.
The reason I’m so adamant about this is simple. In my book, “The Power of Unexpected Miracles”, the true story of the miracle birth of my 3rd daughter at age 41 and my survival, I had an epiphany that totally transformed my life. What I learned was that each of us has our own divine timeline.
So I need for all of you to re-read that quote and embrace 100% of what it says. You ARE full of greatness, you ARE amazing and you HAVE something so unique that makes you YOU. There’s that one talent or skill, etc. something you’ve been born and blessed to do… some purpose… some passion… what is yours?
GRATITUDE + INTENTIONAL KINDNESS
“Gratitude plus intentional kindness equals sustained happiness.” – Beth Elkassih
Once we have embraced our unique ‘greatness’, then start practicing gratitude. And when coupled with ‘intentional kindness’ you will be amazed at how much easier it shall be to get thru this challenging coronavirus time.
PEACE…
“You can’t describe the ‘Peace’ you get after helping someone!” – Umair Qureshi
For the last quote, I present this unique and original quote about peace for both hope and reflection to get thru coronavirus. Go out of your way today and help someone. Someone who is in need. Someone who may need encouragement. Someone who needs someone simply to ‘care’.
Many blessings.
